MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

It gives me immense pleasure to state that Maa Saraswati Educational Trust (MSET) ,Kala Amb, Tehsil Nahan District Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh has been imparting training under Skill Development Programmes to students from different parts of the country since 2016 with the objective to ensure that skilled and educated manpower with innovative ideas is created so that their potential can be utilized in various sectors across the country. We encourage students to achieve their goals and make their dreams come true through skill education and entrepreneurship.

VISION

To Create a center of Excellence and develop to skill, reskill and upskill Indian individuals through an online training platform, API-based trusted skill credentials, payment and discovery layers for jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. The improved version of the platform has Udyam, e-Shram, NCS and ASEEM portals interlinked for G2C, B2C and B2B services. It will act as a bridge between the employees and employers and allow educational institutes to create/modify curricula as per industry demands.

MISSION

It supports and offers training to individuals working in organized and unorganized sectors i.e cobblers,nurses,masons,kiln workers etc and train youth and make them capable of finding jobs in India and abroad.

This would help in improving their living standard and support their family through better outcomes and more productivity. Also an individual can develop his / her skills and set up their own business thereby increasing the scope for employment in India.
Under Skill India Programmes training is being imparted at Maa Saraswati Educational Trust,Kala Amb,Tehsil Nahan,District Sirmaur in the following courses

Deen Dayal Upadhaya Gramin Kaushal Youjana (DDU-GKY)

It aims to skill rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs having regular monthly wages or above the minimum wages. It is one of the cluster of initiatives of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods. It is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) - the Mission for poverty reduction called Aajeevika. Presently we are running Home Health Aid Training (HHAT) a 03 months course and Customer Care Executive (CCE) a 06 month training programme.

Viswakarma scheme

Viswakarma scheme envisages the recognition of Artisans and Crafts persons through PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card. Training is imparted for a period of 5-7 days and a stipend of Rs 500/- per day is given to the participant. At MSET training is imparted to Tailors,Barber,Carpenter and Brick Mason.

Jan Shikshan Sansthan

Jan Shikshan Sansthan has been launched by the Government of India as a unique creation of providing vocational skills to Non literates as well as school dropouts. We are upgrading the skills ofApparel,Made ups and Home Furnishing,Beauty and Wellness,Handicrafts and carpets,IT-ITES

The Himalayan Skill Development Centre in MSET is a accredited as 5 Star Skill Center and is the largest & best equipped with latest modern gadgets, machineries for imparting high quality education both by way of theoretical and practical method to the students so that they are kept updated with the latest curriculum, technology and functioning of the machinery to enable them to be confident and surge ahead in life. These courses have contributed significantly in reducing the poverty and vulnerability of poor households on one hand and bringing down the ratio of unemployment in the State by ensuring employment/ placement to successful candidates and contributing significantly in the upliftment of the country.
