H.P. College of Law, Kala Amb, was the first law institution in the private sector in the state of Himachal Pradesh established in 2003 with the objective to impart legal education. The College is committed to produce lawyers, well equipped to enter the legal profession, and also to render legal services towards the fulfillment of the Constitutional Directives of providing legal aid and assistance and ensuring opportunity for securing justice to members of the society.
The Institute is located in the most scenic and serene environment of Himachal Pradesh at Kala-Amb having a well-equipped Library, Furnished Moot Court Room, Lecture Halls etc. The students are exposed to Guest Lectures by different Jurists and Judges of High Court and Supreme Courts. Visit to Juvenile Homes,High Court, Parliament, Supreme Court at New Delhi and other educational cruise trips are arranged to shape up the personality of students to become an excellent Lawyer, Judgeand Legal Advisor.
It is one of the oldest college in the state of Himachal Pradesh, where 3 years law course and 5 year law course (B.A. LL.B) is in operation. The students of the Law College have excelled themselves in the university examination every year.The Institute is approved by BCI& affiliated to H.P. University, Shimla.

Graduation in any stream.
At least 45% marks are required in graduation for General category & 40% for SC/ST.

10+2 in any Stream.
At least 50% marks are required for General category & 45% for SC/ST.
